Start small. Nobody here is counting.

The four roles below all begin light on purpose. Add hours later if it suits you, or do not — the roster is nominated, never assigned.

Four roles you can begin small in

None of these require a full week to be worth doing. Read what each involves and pick the one whose rhythm you can live with.

About us

A desk that writes listings properly

Most remote listings are written to attract applications rather than to describe a job. We do it the other way round. Employers send us home-based briefs, we check the company, and we write up what the work actually involves — including the repetitive parts — so people can rule themselves out before wasting an afternoon. Then we introduce you, and the employer takes over entirely.

Ask first

Five things people check before applying

Is six hours a week really enough to be worth it?

For some people yes, for others no — it depends what you are fitting it around. The point is that six hours is a genuine starting position here rather than a probation you are expected to grow out of.

Do I have to use my own phone number?

You give us a number so HR can reach you, but the work itself does not involve customers contacting you. None of the four roles above puts your personal number in front of anybody.

What if the role is not what I expected?

Tell the employer in the first fortnight and step off the roster. Nothing is signed that locks you in, and it does not affect whether you can apply for a different brief later.

Are these roles ongoing or short-term?

Ongoing. Employers come to us because they need someone regularly, not for a one-week project. That said, you set how much of each week you actually take.

Does CareerPebble take a cut of my pay?

No. Employers pay us for the listing. You are paid directly by the employer on their own payroll and we never invoice applicants for anything.
